Fancy a free H&M voucher? If you’ve got some old clothes knocking around, you’re in luck.
H&M are giving away a £5 voucher to customers who bring in a bag of unwanted clothes (from any brand) into their stores to be recycled.
You can take in a maximum of two bags of old clothes a day and get a £5 voucher each time.
There’s currently no planned end date to the scheme, but you can start collecting old clothes in order to rack up your free vouchers today.
Is there a catch?
There is, but it’s still a good deal.
The catch is that your £5 voucher can only be used if you spend £30 or more. (If you want to use two vouchers and get £10 off, you need to spend £60, and so on). Vouchers are valid for 6 months, so you get a bit of time to spend them.
There’s no reason you couldn’t pick up a few bags of cheap clothes from a jumble sale this weekend for a few quid, and turn them into £15-£20 worth of H&M vouchers.
Alternative ways to make money from your jumble
If you take old M&S clothes to your local Oxfam, you’ll get a £5 M&S voucher (but you need to spend £35 to redeem it).
Alternatively, if you have some old clothes that you no longer want but are nevertheless in good shape, you could always pitch up at a jumble sale and sell them on yourself for a tidy profit – find your nearest car boot sale here. (You may also be interested in our general tips on haggling…)
Also don’t forget that there are plenty of other things you can recycle for cash apart from clothes – and there are plenty of ways to make money online by selling your things through all sorts of different websites.
