Debt advice

Would you pay for debt advice? I have a friend who seriously needs some debt advice but she has been quoted a princley sum by a company to help her! Doesn't seem right to me, what do you think?

Answers:

Thanks ladies, I knew it was wrong!  I also did some research last night with her and we found this site which was great, she is in such a pickle so I'm sure these will all help!

I completely agree with Caroline, after all if you are in debt already paying a high amount for debt advice  would only make her situation worse. I think the links Caroline has posted are fantastic! Ahh i really hope she gets the best advice and her situation is better soon.

I would never pay for debt advice as there are briliant charities that do it all for free. Here are some links that might be of some help :-))
