Does anyone have any activities and ideas for the long break?

Because my youngest isnt quite one, we are not going abroad this year but I suspect we will end up spending more money by staying here. Does anyone have any activities and ideas for the long break?

Answers:

We stayed at Ribby Hall when our children were younger and loved it.  My daughter must have been about 1 too and there was lots to keep her entertained.

Hope you find something.

For days at home when the weather is bad Blockbusters are offering a great deal on family movies.  Pay just £5 for unlimited 99p rentals from 20th July to 15th September.  You can only have one film at a time, but definitely worth it if you'll hire more than 5 during that time.  We've signed up and there's some great titles included.

Lauren - Ribby Hall sounds fab ..... am off to google it! Thanks x

Hi littlelilypadco :-)

We have booked Ribby Hall again this year for our little break away. It's like a cheaper version of Centre Parks- (which we looked into and nearly had a heart attack when we saw the price) We went to Ribby last year and had a fantastic time! Harry had only just turned 1 so i was in a similar situation as you are now with your little one and didn't like the idea of going aboad when Harry was so young. Harry even at the age of 1 loved Ribby as there was so much for him to look at and enjoy. He wasn't quite walking at the time but he was very happy in his buggy walking around woods and taking it all in as it was a new experience for him. There was also a soft play area for him to play in and the indoor smimming pool is fantastic! The cottages are gorgeous, have everything you need- so much easier than abroad. Best of all both myself and the hubby felt we really did have a proper holiday. Just an idea for you it cost us £255 for a week- (self catering) Lauren x
