How long did you wait before you got engaged with you partner?

My husband and I started talking about getting engaged after a few weeks but waited about 7 months before it became official. We have now been happily married for 12 years.

I got engaged to my first husband after 2 years, we got married 2 years later. Unfortunately there wasnt a happy ever after and we divorced after 5 years of marriage.

My current partner and I are very happy, have our children and live happily together in sin :-)

I would love to get married to him, as I still believe in marriage but once upon a time it was about a wedding day but now it would be about a marriage! xx

We had been together for nearly 3years when we got engaged. He proposed in front of the castle at Disneyland Paris which was really romantic, he asked my dads permission too. So sweet! We waited four years to get married though and we've been married for 6 years now

My husband asked me after 7 years together, and then we took another 3 years before we walked down the aisle, getting married on our 10th anniversary.  He said he wanted us to live together first before we got engaged, which I guess was  a sensible idea, but I had asked him countless times but I think he always thought I was jokiing, I even spelled it out in Alphabites on a dinner plate, but he just laughed!!

 We got engaged while on a lovely villa holiday in Menorca. He even went round to ask my Dad's permission before we went away which I thought was really sweet.

We celebrate 8 years of marriage this September.
