What I liked about the product

charlie vertbaudet changing tableI had to have another caesarean with my third child who is now three weeks old, so I knew I would be in a lot of pain and need a recovery period.  I had to be careful not to bend, twist, go up and down the stairs too much etc.

The changing table really was a lifesaver for me in those first few weeks, as the height was absolutely perfect. It meant I didn’t have to bend in the middle, and the shelves were so spacious I found I could easily fit all the essentials (nappies, cotton wool balls, towels, creams and more) in. In fact it had about double the space of some other tables I’ve used in the past.

The unit itself took a little while to put together (hubby did it), but the quality and sturdiness of the finished product was fantastic. It’s quite a large table but due to the design, colour and style it really blends in well. I ordered the grey one and it looks brilliant in our white and grey / silver bedroom.

The fact that it has wheels is brilliant, too. During that first week home (post operation), being able to easily push it to where it was needed was a huge help.

So all in all it’s a massive thumbs up from me. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and has been a bit of a lifesaver during the first few weeks of being at home when I was still feeling a little sore to say the least!

What I didn’t like

charlie changing tableThe only negative I can think of is that it doesn’t come with the changing mat and two storage baskets that the image shows it with.

I didn’t realise this. I had already bought a changing mat in and it was far too large to fit! (Although really that’s not a fault of the product – more to do with me not looking at the whole package and its separate items).

Would I recommend this product?

I highly recommend this product to any new mum who either has a bad back or is recovering from a caesarean. Once you have one, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it!
