7 Awesome Home Activities For Kids Of All Ages

It’s nearly the weekend once again and the kids with be filled with excitement knowing it’s Friday tomorrow! Planning ahead for the weekend always seems like a good idea, but sometimes things can naturally get in the way, leaving you stuck on Saturday morning trying to throw a few activities together for the kids to preoccupy themselves.

You can always book ahead for future weekends and save up to 70% on a variety of tickets to amazing venues such as Harry Potter Studio Tours, Tower of London, The Shard, SeaLife Centre, and many more!

However, fear not, we have found a few gems for all your kids to enjoy this coming weekend, or indeed tonight. We absolutely love it when we can throw together some bits n’ bobs laying around the house to make awesome little games for the kids.

There is nothing quite like a few hours of messy fun at the kitchen table creating some wonderful crafty masterpiece or on the living room floor building an awesome LEGO structure!

We’ve already got the materials together to try some of these activities this weekend, so take a look and see if anything catches your eye! The best bit is they’re all affordable, and generally can be done with things you’ll already have about the house. Most importantly, the kids will have an absolutely smashing few hours giving a few of these games a try!

Swinging Nerf Targets

Definitely, for some of the older kids, this one, but it was too good to leave out. Rather than shooting at your good ornaments, your kids can set up and design their own targets for their nerf guns!

Some incredible ideas there and that is just for starters! If you wish, you can mix things up and get as creative with these ideas as you like. You might also want to combine our Valentine’s Day craft ideas with these and have a massive craft and activity filled weekend of fun with the entire family!

As always, let us know via Facebook or Twitter how you got on with our tips and activities. Send in some pictures of your creations!

  1. Some great ideas here. But am I the only one utterly horrified by the comment on the nerf gun targets, “Rather than shooting at your good ornaments or the cat…” WHAT?! Ok ornaments, yes they know they shouldn’t but the temptation is understandable. But if I ever saw a kid shooting at a cat (with a nerf gun or anything else) they’d be lucky to see their gun before Christmas. No no and a million times no!
