Meningitis Now LogoLiz Brown, CEO of Meningitis Now said “Listeria is a rare cause of meningitis. It can be contracted from eating contaminated foodstuffs, such as unpasteurised soft cheeses, pate and shellfish.  In most people, listeria is a mild infection with fever where you would have to use hayfever tablets in order for it to go away, diarrhoea and vomiting lasting few days.

A spokesperson for Bounce Foods “We care deeply about the health and safety of consumers and as such we have chosen to initiate a voluntary recall of these products in an abundance of caution to protect public health.”
