Even in the heat we sometimes crave the comfort of cooler day dishes –  this is not as strange as we might think, as foods that are hot in spice or temperature may actually cool the body down by increasing blood circulation and perspiration. This week’s meal plan brings together family favourite recipes, and because they are familiar, it means we can cook them really quickly each evening.

This week’s family meal planner includes shepherd’s pie, cheese omelette, vegetable pasta bake, chicken korma curry and fisherman’s pie. The approximate cost is just £24.89 for a family of four! (price correct at time of publication – supermarket prices and offers may vary). Links in our recipes will show you where to get the best deal.
