  • All the meals included in our weekly meal planners are child friendly and provide nutrients from each of the food groups (proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals).

Every week, Sian from puts together five easy recipes for our week’s family meal planner. You can choose to make them on whichever day of the week suits you best. She also puts together a shopping list that you can download for free and print out to take with you to the supermarket.

  • sesame chicken meal plan
  • Asian sticky chicken and sesame strips: Children love these chicken strips covered in sesame seeds. A handful of sesame a day provides excellent levels of antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and protein, plus it lowers ‘bad’ cholesterol and increases ‘good’ cholesterol. Serve with hot noddles and stir-fry veg.

  • mexican burger meal plan

  • Mexican chilli and lime burgers: Mexican cookery is known for its colourful food including corn and chillies. Chillies pack a big punch of flavour and nutrients. Good for reducing arthritis inflammation and pain. Serve in a bread roll or tortilla with tomato salad.

  • fisherman's pie
  • Fisherman’s pie: This delicious healthy pie is a balance of all the nutrients you want for the whole family. Feel free to use frozen or fresh raw fish for this recipe. Serve with any green vegetable or green salad.

  • stuffed peppers meal plan
  • Stuffed peppers: These make a delicious filling meal. Almost any ingredient can be used including nuts and fruit. I have kept it very simple for this recipe, but feel free to experiment. Serve with pork chop, sausages, or fish if you like to have meat most mealtimes.

  • vegetable pasta bake meal plan
  • Vegetable pasta bake: A clear favourite with children and adults alike. I often make this recipe the night before and tuck into it on a busy night. Freeze leftovers in individual portions. Can be used as a vegetable dish with most meats.
