Happy Pancake Tuesday! Hopefully, by this stage, you’ll all have had at least one pancake. We may have gone slightly overboard this year and had too many but that’s all part of the fun! We thought we’d show you some alternative pancake recipes which you might be able to squeeze in for a tasty treat after dinner tonight, or indeed, for breakfast or lunch in the future.
There are so many pancake recipes out there now and everyone has their own personal favourites, but we thought we’d experiment a little and see what funky alternatives we could find. We’ve got 5 different, and somewhat unusual, recipes lined up for you all to feast your eyes on, and as always get stuck in and let us know how it goes!
Get the kids involved and have some fun! Enjoy.
5 alternative pancake recipes for the whole family to try!
1. Mickey Mouse Pancake
Our personal favourite of the day, as we are massive Disney fans! We couldn’t quite get it as good looking as this one but it was so much fun to try.
2. Pancake Pops
Tasty little mini pancakes served like lollipops. Great as a treat for the kids!
3. Red Velvet Beetroot Pancakes
We saw beetroot pancakes and had mixed emotions. We love beetroot, but in a pancake? How wrong were we! Beautiful.
4. Spinach Pancakes
Ok, so these green pancakes my not look as appetising as the others, but my word they taste gorgeous! Definitely worth a try.
5. Mini Muffin Pancake Bites
Last, but definitely not least, check out these mouth-sized pancake bites! So, so tasty and perfect for the kids just like the pancake pops. Might a great idea for a little lunchbox treat.
So there you have it, 5 alternative pancake recipes for you and the whole family to try. Our favourite was the mickey mouse pancake but in all honesty, we adored each one of them. Give them a try and let us know how you got on. It’s never too late in the day for pancakes!
