Prepare this refreshing tipple for your New Year’s Eve party and you’re sure to impress.
Our tip: Easy to make, and a great way to celebrate and welcome in 2013.
- 1 teaspoon sugar syrup
- 6 fresh mint leaves, plus extra to decorate
- Juice of 1 lime
- 4–6 cracked ice cubes
- 2 measures Jamaican rum
- Soda water
- Dash Angostura bitters
- Put the sugar syrup, mint leaves and lime juice into a lowball glass
- Muddle the mint leaves, then add the cracked ice cubes and the rum
- Top up with soda water
- Finish with the Angostura bitters and decorate with the remaining mint leaves
