Sweetcorn and spinach


If you can get your children to eat this side dish, full marks as its bursting with nutritional value. As an extra bonus for busy home cooks, it takes seconds to cook.

  • 1 tin sweetcorn
  • 1 bag baby spinach leaves (washed)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


  • Heat oil in saucepan or wok, add corn and cook for 3 minutes
  • Add spinach and stir
  • Cover with lid or foil and leave to steam for a few minutes until cooked
  • Spinach will wilt and reduce in size
  • Season to taste
