loyalty points samairaThis week’s money saving tip comes from Samaira, who tells us how to save with loyalty points on your shopping.

Loyalty card savings

“I do my shopping at Sainsbury’s and since July I have saved up £32 in Nectar points and hope it will be double that by December. I did this last year and spent my points at Argos and bought several Christmas presents for my two children.

I also buy my perfume, toiletries and make-up from Boots and use a loyalty card there. I started saving in July and have £13 so far logged on my Boots card – I will either buy a Christmas present from Boots or treat myself in the Christmas sale!”

MyFamilyClub’s top tips on how to make the most of your loyalty points

Trade your Tesco Clubcard points for reward vouchers and triple their value. For example, £10 worth of clubcard vouchers could get your around £30 worth of Clubcard rewards vouchers. These can be exchanged into a whole host of things from gifts to holidays, days out with the kids, restaurant deals and more.

Did you know that by using your Nectar card for your online shopping at over 500 retailers you can collect loads of money-saving points? Currys and Debenhams even allow you to quadruple your points!

By joining the Boots Parenting Club you’ll earn ten points for every £1 spent on baby products. Plus, look out for the extra offers and additional savings and promotions in-store such as their 3 for 2 offer.

Don’t forget the rest

We’ve all heard of the top loyalty point retailers and the savings we can make but don’t forget the lesser known brands that could still earn you great discounts.
