Totally amazing bargain Christmas gifts

Jess Neale

Jess NealeMy mission this week was to find a whole bunch of totally amazing bargain Christmas presents for the whole family. Not an easy mission by any means.

So, armed with some x-ray vision goggles to see through those “deals-that-sound-great-but-are-actually-a- rip-off”, a purse with tight strings and a sprinkle of Christmas spirit I started my search. Here are my top picks:

Gift for mum: The Kitchen Revolution

With so much food waste in the world what better way to rustle up a meal from leftovers than with this unique recipe book full of delicious dinners (and puddings) from The Kitchen Revolution. Complete with a weekly meal plan and shopping lists, it could make life a whole lot easier and cheaper in the kitchen. At £18.15 this is slightly more expensive but will save you a bucket load of money and time in the long-run. Check out our review of the book so you get an idea of how it works.

Gift for sister: Glossyboxglossybox

When I saw this I thought, wow, what a genius idea and one that would be a fab gift, especially for sister or mum. The idea is that you register and subscribe for £10 plus p&p to receive 5 luxury product miniatures from high-end brands every month. By filling out the beauty profile it also makes sure you get personalised products that fit your requirements.

The cute box is sent directly to your door every month so the new products can be tested in the comfort of your own home.

By recommending to your friends and reviewing the products you can even earn Glossydots that can be redeemed to get a free Glossybox.

Gift for the little ones: pirate ship

toy pirate shipMy nephew Pingle loves pirates and marching into the supermarket at the end of the day to find this hidden treasure lurking behind the frozen peas in Aldi was a stroke of luck!  At just £12.99 you get a whole pirate ship complete with characters, the treasure chest and cannon. I can’t wait to see Pingle’s face when he opens this!

Gift for brother/ Dad: Personalised desk calendar

Rather than spend hours making a calendar or buying an impersonal one, this is a great way to share the memories throughout the whole year with a customisable desk calendar. It’s high-quality too and you can choose from a selections of themed designed, just upload your favourite pics and get it delivered straight to your door.

For Grandparents: M&S voucher

Being the MyFamilyClub tweeter and facebooker I might be a little biased, but we do have a fantastic competition running today giving our Facebook fans the chance to win a £40 voucher for M&S .

All you have to do is enter your details via the sweepstake tab. Plus, we’re also running three other fab competitions that range from winning a luxury Christmas Turkey to staring in our TV ad or winning a bumper bag of family games, so it’s well worth checking out.
