Does your family budget not seem to stretch quite as far as it once did?
High inflation and weak saving rates have hit all of us in recent months, and now new research suggests that 92% of UK homeowners would like to try and cut down on their monthly spend.
However, Barclays, which published the research, has revealed that families often fail to take their mortgages into account when coming up with creative ways to save cash.
The bank found that 58% of us have never opted to remortgage our properties, unless we are moving to a new home.
Andy Gray, head of mortgages at Barclays, stated: "As monthly outgoings rise, and Brits fight to cut their costs, it's important that they consider addressing their mortgage."
