The children said they particularly miss having family holidays or one-off day trips away from home.

Overall, the Children's Society's survey found that youngsters deemed "materially deprived" - because of a lack of things like quality family time - face a much higher risk of being unhappy than other kids.
In addition to family holidays and trips out, children cited pocket money as something they really need to lead a normal kind of life.
