Where to get a cheap dishwasher

Under £200 and slim-line

The Beko DE2542FW is a slim-line cheap dishwasher. It has five programmes and a childproof door-lock. Whilst Appliances Online and Comet offer the best price at £189, regular Boots shoppers may see their offer of £191.99 as slightly better value as it buys you £6.88 worth of Advantage Card points.

Whilst one retailer takes the shine off a deal at £309, you can sneak in at just under £200 with Electrical 123 at £199.99, or pay a few pounds more with Appliances Online at £208.

The Zanussi ZDF2020 is a full-size freestanding dishwasher that can hold up to 12 place settings. It also has indicators to tell you when you need to top up rinse aid or salt. You get the best price with Sonic Direct at £214.94 only if you collect at their megastore in Bradford, however Electricshop.com deliver free to most postcodes working out at £219.95. Both are infinitely better than the £308 offered by one major retailer.

The Electrolux ESI67070XR is a Which? ‘best-rated’ semi-integrated dishwasher and they say this machine can save about a quarter of the energy and four litres of water by using the Eco program. If you want enough plates for dinner make sure you turn it on well in advance as it does take two hours and 23 minutes on average.

Appliances Direct leads by some way in pricing if you take advantage of their offer of buying a copy of Which? for £1, making the total outlay £437.97. Alternatively their price including delivery is still the best at £456.93. Appliances Online is £457.
