PortAventura water park rides
Once you’ve got your cheap PortAventura tickets, you’ll find that PortAventura is split into six ‘mini-continents’ (see below), each with its own rides and attractions. It also has an Aquatic Park for all sorts of water activities, which are arguably the biggest drawcard of the park for Brits seeking to enjoy the warm Mediterranean weather!
Among the water rides, slides and attractions at PortAventura, some of the most popular are:
As the name suggests, this is a fast and furious ride designed to get your adrenal pumping.
The water slide resembles a giant playground slippery slide, although at a height of just under 20 metres and a 100 metre undulating track, it’s not for the faint-hearted!
Take the adrenalin even further on the King Khajuna, said to be the tallest freefall slide in Europe!
The slide plunges from a height of 31 metres before swinging out at an angle of 55 degrees, plunging you swiftly down to the stopping pool below. From the top of the tower, you’ll get a commanding view over the whole park – so you can check out all the other rides you want to try your hand at.
This is one the whole family can enjoy, using a toboggan mat to race each other down the slide and see who gets to the cooling plunges at the end of the slide first.
You can easily go as a whole family, or try racing other people you meet – and of course you can try out each of the six lanes on the slide to see which you find fastest!
The Zona Indoor is a great place for littlies to splash about and have a good time, particularly when the need for some time out of the hot sun arises!
There are numerous pools, adventure sets and activities to keep young kids entertained for hours.
The strong current of The Mad River takes all who venture into its waters on a nearly 1.5km trek around the park.
Great for seeing the rest of the park while enjoying a splash from an inflatable donut, the river has four entrances and exits so you can get on and off as many times as you like.
The ‘mini-continents’ of PortAventura
Welcome to a charming little village filled with quiet, quaint and unassuming little cottages facing a calm and serene lake… AND the fastest rollercoaster in Europe… The infamous Furius Baco goes from 0 to 135km/hr in less than 3.5 seconds – be afraid, be very afraid! The sheer spectacle of pyrotechnics and special effects that take place on the Lake of PortAventura Mediterrània will leave you wanting more. And don’t forget to check out the fantastic shops with your PortAventura tickets 2015!
The Far West
Get cheap PortAventura tickets to see the largest land which is littered with amazing rides. From the Stampedia to the Bang Bang Stunt Show, they have it all. And when you and the kids are exhausted they even have authentic American cuisine to offer. Nothing like a good ol’ steak after going over a waterfall ride!
Transport yourself to colonial Mexico – a land of dense vegetation, ancient Incan temples… and rides like the Hurakan Condor, which shoots you 100 metres up in the air… followed by a death defying freefall! Catch your breath, and discover the culture of Mexico with events and shows held throughout the year.
You can also take a breather by browsing through the stalls that sell intricate Mexican jewellery.
Plenty of lush, green and swaying palm leaves and tropical themed attractions await you with your PortAventura tickets. Ride through a tropical storm through the Kon-Tiki Wave or let the kids loose on a spectacular 4D movie on Polynesia.
Dragon Khan takes you on a 110km/hr ride through eight vertical loops. One not to be missed! (Just don’t have a heavy breakfast beforehand…)
This is the newest fun-packed land, filled with Sesame Street favourites. The kids can have a whale of a time at the special amphitheatre and have their photos taken with their heroes.
Apart from the rides and the endless stalls filled with wonders of the universe, PortAventura also has a lot of cultural attractions, such as the La Mina de Diablo during Halloween and special seasonal shows during Christmas. PortAventura has a very relaxed family-friendly vibe.
