Discount Cinema Ticket Deals For Adults
Cineworld 2 tickets for £11 – PLUS free drinks and popcorn
Thursdays Only
Cineworld has a great cinema discount deal called Take 2.
Every Thursday, they show some of the biggest films of the year so far which you and a friend can see for just £11 – and that includes two small drinks and a regular popcorn to share!
Book online (you’ll need to join its free member’s club) to get the £11 discount cinema ticket deal.
Vue Super Tuesdays
Tuesdays Only
Like Cineworld, Vue cinemas have Super Saver Tuesdays – where you get up to a third off tickets all day.
However to get the Super Saver discount, you need to sign up for a free membership card.
You can use your Super Saver card to get discount cinema tickets for up to 10 people, too.
Orange/EE 2 for 1 Wednesdays
(Wednesdays only)
Orange and EE phone customers can still get 2 for 1 cinema tickets on Wednesdays until the end of September 2014.
Just text FILM to 241 on your phone to get your 2 for 1 code.

Empire Last Chance Thursdays

Empire Cinemas offer cheap tickets on Thursdays for popular films that are coming to the end of their run.
Their Last Chance to See Thursdays promotion offers great cinema discounts, with prices usually between £3.25 and £4 each. (It may cost more for 3D screenings, and the offer excludes Luxury screens and the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square).
Odeon Film Fan Monday
(Mondays only)
If you’re an Odeon Premiere Club cardholder (membership costs from £1.99 a year) you can get 25% off tickets every Monday.
Premiere Club members also earn 10 Odeon points for every £1 they spend. These Odeon points can then be exchanged to buy tickets, food or drink at Odeon cinemas, giving you an additional saving.
Cheap cinema tickets for kids
Cineworld Movies for Juniors – £1.50 movies for kids
(Saturday/Sunday mornings + school holidays)
Cineworld’s Movies for Juniors offer the latest kid-friendly movies for the bargain price of £1.50 on Saturday and Sunday mornings plus school holidays (it’s £3 for 3D movies).
It’s £1.50 for both kids and adults (though obviously adults won’t be admitted without a child). What’s more, you can even get an extra 10% discount if you book online.
Vue Kids AM – £1.75 movies for kids
(Saturday/Sunday mornings + school holidays)
Vue’s Kids AM also show the latest kid-friendly movies for just £1.75 on Saturday and Sunday mornings plus school holidays (it’s £3 for 3D movies).
It’s £1.75 for both kids and adults (though obviously adults won’t be admitted without a child).
This offer may vary at different cinemas due to regional school holiday differences – check with your local Vue cinema before you set out.
Odeon Kids’ Club – kids films for £2.50
(Saturday/Sunday mornings + school holidays)
Odeon Kids’ Club screenings offer families the chance to see films for £2.50 a ticket.
There are some exceptions to this price:
- The Odeon in Worcester and Dorchester charges £1
- Dundee, Bristol and Belfast Odeons charge £1.50
- Weston-Super-Mare Odeon charges £2
- Dunfermline and Muswell Hill London Odeons charge £3
You should also note that if you book in advance online or by phone, a 50p booking fee applies. Also debit and credit cards carry a 21p fee if you book online.
None of these fees apply if you get your tickets in the cinema – but it might be worth paying these fees to book in advance for popular films to ensure you don’t miss out.
Empire Junior screenings for £3 or under

Empire cinemas have Junior screenings on Saturday and Sundays costing £3 or less for both adults and children. Prices and times can vary slightly between different Empire cinemas – see local listings for details.

Vue teen tickets – up to 20% off
Vue cinemas offer teens aged 13-18 up to 20% off the adult ticket price with their Teen Ticket offer.

Discount site Groupon often has cinema discount offers for big chains like Cineworld and Odeon. The offers they have vary from week to week. At the time of writing they have £1 Cineworld tickets and £5 Odeon tickets on offer – see what’s on offer now.
MyCineworld cinema discounts
Cineworld’s MyCineworld scheme gets you 10% off when you book online.
It also offers an Unlimited Card, which lets you see as many movies as you like for £15.90 a month. This is great value if you watch several films each month and have a Cineworld near you.
Odeon Premiere Club cinema discounts
The Odeon Premiere Club gives you 25% off cinema tickets on Mondays – plus you earn 10 points for every £1 you spend in the cinema.
These loyalty points can then be spent on cinema tickets, food or drink.
You do have to pay to join the Premiere Club, but you can join from £1.99 a year.
Picturehouse Cinema membership

Showcase Cinemas run an Insider Club, which offers £6 tickets on Sundays after 7pm, and all day Mondays and Tuesdays.
You can also get money off food and drink and win tickets to free preview screenings.
Nectar card cinema discounts
You can spend your Nectar points at Vue cinemas – 500 Nectar points gives you a £2.50 discount. (You can redeem as many points as you like – so 1,000 points would give you a £5 discount).
Just take your Nectar card with you when you pay for your tickets.
Tesco Clubcard cinema discounts
You can exchange Tesco Clubcard vouchers for discount cinema tickets at three cinema chains: Cineworld, Odeon and Movie House.

Take advantage of off-peak cinema tickets
