Luxury lodge resort The Sherwood Hideaway has teamed up with The Festival of Food & Drink at Clumber Park to launch gourmet short breaks in September.
The three-night package is available from 14 September and includes accommodation in an exclusive woodland cabin plus tickets to the East Midlands’ biggest food festival.
Guests can enjoy the peaceful delights of The Sherwood Hideaway, where lodges feature four-poster beds, free-standing clawfoot bathtubs and terraces with hot tubs to enjoy views of Sherwood Forest, before feasting on the best produce from some of the UK’s leading food and drink producers at Clumber Park’s gastronomic celebration.
Prices for the package start from £562, based on up to four people sharing a Traditional 2 Bedroom Pet Friendly Lodge. This price includes the tickets for the food festival.
More than 150 traders take part in the vibrant Festival of Food & Drink and the weekend welcomes an incredible range of food and drink artisans, award winning produce and live music.
TV chefs including Chris Bavin of Britain’s Best Home Cook and MasterChef winner Jane Devonshire will be giving demonstrations, and festival goers have the chance to expand their own culinary skills by taking part in the School of Artisan Food workshops that are available for both adults and children.
With a huge range of delicious treats for sale, guests can stock up on goodies to enjoy back at their Sherwood Hideaway lodge, where there is a state-of-the-art kitchen and new brick barbecues to make the most of their menu.
Alan Sibthorpe, general manager at The Sherwood Hideaway says: “The Festival of Food & Drink is a fantastic event and we are delighted to team up with the organisers for the first time.
“Foodies with a taste for the finer things in life are going to love this weekend package, which brings together the best in self-catering accommodation and the best of British food.”
